The festival offers visitors of all ages a chance to spend an afternoon in the farm’s Ohlone Village, normally closed to the public. Children will get the chance to step into the daily lives of the original Bay Area inhabitants, the Ohlone, who lived in the region for thousands of years.

Diwali is a traditional Indian festival of thanksgiving. It celebrates the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, hope over despair, and good over evil. Festivities include a wonderful feast of food, music, and dance including a traditional Rangoli display, including art and craft booths. Admission and parking are free.

The Mosaic Gardens in Campbell is filled with mosaic art that artist and educator Nancy Meyer has created and continues to create. Nancy will give a brief history of Mosaic art, and will demonstrate the tools and materials she uses.

Under Nancy‘s guidance, each student will be provided with a substrate (6" x 3.5") and various materials to choose from (stained glass, sea glass, beads, ceramics and many other embellishments) for creating a unique mosaic art piece. Students will take home their completed mosaic artwork ready for display.
