Are you curious or passionate about the art of folding? Come to this FREE workshop to learn about the intersection of science and art through origami models. The class aims to teach children who are passionate or curious about the art of folding as well as its connection with STEM, and in each lesson new models with varying levels of difficulty will be introduced. Students have a lot of freedom to create models that they want while learning important life skills such as communication, perseverance, and collaboration.
This is a free 3-hour workshop at Hiller Aviation Museum and is known as the annual Aero Design Challenge. For this year’s Aero Design Challenge, participants investigate rocket propulsion while designing, building and flying an air powered rocket capable of flying the maximum possible distance with a limited amount of air pressure!
The premise of this class is that true leaders first learn to lead themselves. This leadership occurs in 3 character building areas: attitude, goal-setting, and self-esteem. This is a 4-part class. Taught by Jim Wiltens.
